Team Evolution has continuously been the programme of choice for developing some of Britain’s best alpine ski racers, for more than a decade. Our trainees have continually achieved great success across the globe, and we are proud of our history.
Job Role
In an environment built around hard work and commitment, the Pastoral Team is a key component of Team Evolution’s continued success. Our House Parent’s play a vital role in ensuring that our trainees are safe, healthy, happy and living an active lifestyle outside of regular training. Our training base in Radstadt, Austria, provides a "home away from home", where the student-athletes and staff live for the winter months. The Pastoral Team plays a critical role in ensuring that the training base functions as best as possible, and the staff who make up this team are required to be organised, proactive, responsible, caring and good decision makers who put the needs of the athletes first.
The Pastoral Team is expected to not only support the athletes’ day to day living needs, but also encourage personal growth by helping the athletes overcome individual challenges, teaching them to perform basic chores, fostering a sense of team spirit and encouraging the trainees to engage in the local culture and languages. The Team Evolution programme must be student-athlete centered at all times, and in an environment that is ever changing, the House Parent needs to be flexible, adaptable, happy to put both the needs of the athlete and requirements of the programme first, above any personal desires.
