Your Purpose

The Project Manager is responsible for leading and executing key commercial projects that drive business growth and enhance operational efficiency. This role will focus on managing initiatives across various commercial departments, ensuring alignment with company objectives and successful implementation of strategic plans.

Your Impact

* Project Leadership: Spearhead commercial projects from inception to completion, including defining scope, objectives, and deliverables
* Problem Solving: Identify obstacles proactively and offer solutions from both a technical and people perspective.
* Strategic Planning: Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, and resource allocation strategies to ensure project success
* Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior leadership to align project goals with business objectives
* Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project continuity
* Performance Tracking: Establish KPIs and metrics to measure project success and report on progress to executive leadership
* Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for enhancing commercial processes and implement best practices
* Executive Communications: Prepare and present recommendations, status updates, and project insights to senior executives

Your Journey so far

Key Qualifications
* Proven track record of successfully managing medium and large commercial projects
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and motivate cross-functional teams
* Strong problem-solving skills and business judgement, including determining which decisions require vs do not require escalation
* Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of engaging with senior executives
* Quick to understand stakeholder's priorities, and how to be efficient and effective with their time
* Comfortable dealing with situations where there is complexity, ambiguity, system limitations, or slow to respond stakeholders
* Demonstrated collaboration skills with a history of building strong working relationships across diverse teams
* Ability to think independently and navigate initiatives where established processes may not exist
* Action and results oriented; Proficient in distilling complex information into actionable insights and clear plans
* Excellent writing communication skills, in particular via email and in PowerPoint
* Strong analytical skills with experience in creating executive-friendly reports and visualizations using tools like Excel, or other more advanced analytical tools

Preferred Qualifications:
* Ability to conduct stakeholder analysis, impact assessments, and readiness assessments to identify change needs and risks
* Knowledge of integrated planning methodologies including identifying dependencies and optimizing plans across workstreams
* Familiarity with Agile methodologies and product-centric planning tools
* Experience working closely with IT teams on initiatives
* Experience in the cruise industry or travel industry
* Experience in Management Consulting
* Acute attention to detail
* 5+ years of experience in project management
* Knowledge of commercial operations, including sales, marketing, and revenue management
* Experience working in global, matrix organizations
* Proficiency with a project management tool, such as Asana

MSC Cruises has grown exponentially since 2003. In such a short time, we have built a fleet of 22 modern and most environmentally advanced ships!

With our constant expansion, our fleet will grow in capacity with the arrival of seven new ships in three different classes by 2027.
One of our latest ships – MSC World Europa – was delivered in 2022, inaugurating the World Class. It is our largest cruise ship to date, with a capacity of over 6,700 passengers, served by more than 2,000 crew members.

In 2023 we inaugurated the MSC Euribia equipped with the best and latest environmental technology and bestowed with a highly-innovative design.

In 2023 MSC Cruises entered the Luxury segment by launching its first of four Explora Journeys ships.

Recruitment Prospects
With three new mega-ships and four Luxury ships to be built and delivered between 2023 and 2027, the biggest and most important challenge for MSC Cruises is to find, recruit and train a high number of new crew members needed to provide the service, fun and safety that have become hallmarks of MSC Cruises.

This massive project is already well under way. The Human Resources Team is not only working to recruit the best talents but is also visiting our manning agencies and hiring partners around the world to ensure that the right people and facilities are in place to prepare this ‘army’ of new crew members for their life at sea.
