Duties and Supporting Responsibilities:

  • Maximize learning by providing a creative, fun and exciting environment in the delivery of such training sessions as: Welcome Orientation, computer trainings, other service trainings, etc.
  • Assisting to ensure that MOGZH colleagues learning needs are met by assisting and arranging resources to Departmental Trainers for programs to be conducted throughout the hotel, such as the Departmental Learning Program.
  • Maintain the Training Centre, inclusive of all equipment, books and materials.
  • Assist in observing and appraising colleague performance during training sessions, providing feedback to Learning and Development Director and concerned management which would facilitate improvements in accordance to MOHG standards with regard to product and performance.
  • To ensure all individual colleague learning & development records within SHIJI System by tracking, inputting and maintaining.
  • To monitor and oversee all departmental learning programs as stated on the Learning and Development Policies including, New Hire Learning, LQE required training, Language Training, FHLSS & Food Handling and Sanitation, and other related trainings.
  • Support all efforts to enliven our Company’s Mission, Guiding Principles and Legendary Quality Experiences throughout the hotel leading by example and serving as a role model.
  • Work closely with entire Human Resources Team regarding promoting an “employer of choice” philosophy.
  • Ensuring the maintenance of Learning and Development related bulletin boards and updating Daily LQE Pillars.
  • Assist the Human Resources Executive in all colleague recognition programs to include parties & celebrations and other time basis events.
  • Maintenance of attendance records and other documentation related to the Learning and Development efforts.
  • Ensure security and confidentiality of all information throughout the hotel.
  • Monitor the departmental development of Learning and Development monthly planners.
  • Conducting meetings with department Directors and departmental trainers to assess specific learning needs.
  • Support all internship program both China and Overseas, such as conducting interview, contacting the interns, arrangement prior to the onboard with HR team.
  • Ensure the grooming standard of colleagues is up to standards of Mandarin Oriental, Guangzhou.
  • Support the external training program by liaising and arranging with the external personnel, as well as within the hotel.
  • Assist in the arrangement for all external training and cross exposure outside Guangzhou


 

Job Requirement

  • 5 years related experience, including management experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills in both Chinese & English.
  • Responsible and positive attitude can work under pressure and with team work spirit.
  • Fluent English speaking and writing skill.
  • Able to manage, train and motivate the team.
