Sobre ti

Cleaning and Sanitizing: This is the primary duty. Housekeepers are responsible for cleaning and sanitizing all assigned areas. This includes dusting, vacuuming, mopping, sweeping, and wiping down surfaces. They clean bathrooms (toilets, sinks, showers, tubs) and kitchens (countertops, sinks, appliances), ensuring all fixtures are sparkling and hygienic.

Bed Making and Linen Management: In hospitality settings, housekeepers meticulously make beds, changing linens, pillowcases, and duvet covers according to established standards. They also manage the collection of soiled laundry and the distribution of fresh linens.

Replenishing Supplies: They ensure that all necessary supplies are stocked. This includes toiletries, towels, tissue paper, and other amenities in bathrooms, as well as coffee, tea, and mini-bar items in hotel rooms. In private homes, it might involve managing cleaning supplies.

Waste Management: Housekeepers are responsible for emptying trash bins and ensuring proper waste disposal and recycling.

Reporting Maintenance Issues: They are often the first to notice maintenance problems (e.g., a leaky faucet, a broken light fixture, a malfunctioning appliance). They are expected to report these issues promptly to the appropriate department for repair.

Organization and Tidying: Beyond just cleaning, housekeepers help maintain an organized space. This can involve tidying up belongings, arranging furniture, and ensuring everything is in its designated place to create a welcoming atmosphere.

Adhering to Safety and Hygiene Standards: Housekeepers must strictly follow all health, safety, and hygiene protocols, including the proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment, to ensure a safe environment for themselves and others.

Guest/Resident Interaction (where applicable): In hotels, housekeepers may occasionally interact with guests, responding to requests for extra towels or amenities, and doing so in a polite and helpful manner.

Inventory Management (minor): They might assist with keeping track of inventory for cleaning supplies or guest amenities.
