The main responsibilities of the role include organizing and supervising maintenance tasks, ensuring excellent team performance, and collaborating with the other departments in relation to maintenance and renovations. The selected candidate will act as a key support for ongoing technical training and development of team members, making this an ideal opportunity for those building their careers as a manager in Malta.
Responsibilities:
* Plan, organise, and monitor maintenance related tasks.
* Prepare weekly schedules.
* Oversee the team's performance and report to the Maintenance Manager accordingly.
* Collaborate with other departments to meet their maintenance and renovation needs.
* Keeping up to date and in line with all Health and Safety regulations, required by law
* Assist in reducing energy consumption costs.
* Manage and assist contractors and service providers.
* Lead and assist the duty maintenance team and other hotel service trades.
* Ensure that all administration processes are according to the previously agreed timelines.
Requirements:
* A good standard of education
* Possession of Licence A & B
* Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar position
* Familiarity with HVAC systems.
* Excellent organisational and leadership skills
* Good level of spoken and written English
* Computer literate
* Knowledge of BMS would be considered an asset.
* Previous experience in a hotel environment will be considered an asset.
* Maltese driving licence will be considered an asset
