Your Purpose

Working with relevant parties in the business, will monitor Logistics revenues and costs, will analyze business trends and will provide accurate and timely Logistics reporting (monthly, quarterly, and yearly).

Your Impact

Analyses historical data, costs & revenues data
Prepares all needed data analysis for the yearly budget process to ensure accurate and solid forecast simulations, as well as monthly and quarterly updates for the Logistics department
Using company financial systems, monitors Logistics costs & revenues and prepares updates to be submitted to the Budget & Controlling Coordinator
Prepares presentations as needed to show costs & revenues analysis and specific projects impact
Prepares business case simulations to facilitate the decision-making process for strategic projects
Proactively proposes action to the Team based on the insights learn in the analysis phase
Participates in cross-functional business projects and perform ad hoc analysis upon request
Extracts and analyses all relevant information from various IT sources and support the Team in translating data into concrete actions
Supports the team in month end closing, forecasting activities and any other need.

Your Journey so far

Previous working experience in an analyst role, ideally within the cruise sector.
Strong analytical skills.
Good understanding of budget and forecasting processes.
Target-oriented with a proven ability to work under pressure.

Your Essentials

Fluent in English and Italian; any additional language is an advantage.
Excel advanced user; knowledge of BO and Power BI are an advantage.
Degree in Economics, Mathematics, or Engineering.
Good organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and follow up.

MSC Cruises has grown exponentially since 2003. In such a short time, we have built a fleet of 22 modern and most environmentally advanced ships!

With our constant expansion, our fleet will grow in capacity with the arrival of seven new ships in three different classes by 2027.
One of our latest ships – MSC World Europa – was delivered in 2022, inaugurating the World Class. It is our largest cruise ship to date, with a capacity of over 6,700 passengers, served by more than 2,000 crew members.

In 2023 we inaugurated the MSC Euribia equipped with the best and latest environmental technology and bestowed with a highly-innovative design.

In 2023 MSC Cruises entered the Luxury segment by launching its first of four Explora Journeys ships.

Recruitment Prospects
With three new mega-ships and four Luxury ships to be built and delivered between 2023 and 2027, the biggest and most important challenge for MSC Cruises is to find, recruit and train a high number of new crew members needed to provide the service, fun and safety that have become hallmarks of MSC Cruises.

This massive project is already well under way. The Human Resources Team is not only working to recruit the best talents but is also visiting our manning agencies and hiring partners around the world to ensure that the right people and facilities are in place to prepare this ‘army’ of new crew members for their life at sea.
