Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic Housekeeping Supervisor Intern (F/M/X) to join our team in Amsterdam, Netherlands. This internship offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in housekeeping management within a dynamic hospitality environment.

Assist the Housekeeping Manager in overseeing daily operations
Managing the performance of work by own employees: chambermaids, minibar attendants, evening employees and employees of the cleaning of public areas
Minibar organization
Help coordinate and schedule housekeeping staff
Conduct room inspections to ensure cleanliness and adherence to standards
Support inventory management of cleaning supplies and linens
Participate in training new housekeeping staff members
Assist in implementing and maintaining quality control procedures
Contribute to the development of efficient cleaning processes
Help address guest concerns related to housekeeping services
Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations
Assist in creating and updating housekeeping reports

Qualifications

Currently pursuing a MBO or HBO study in hotel/hospitality management or related field
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage time effectively
Basic computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office suite
Fluency in English; Dutch or other languages are advantageous
Basic knowledge of housekeeping operations and standards
Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and technologies
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
Demonstrated leadership potential and a proactive attitude
