Job Description

Job Purpose

This position is responsible to oversee the day-to-day accounting operation, reporting, compliance,- and to assist the Director of Finance ensuring the hotel financial strategy is implemented accordance with Hotel’s policy & procedures.

Primary Responsibilities

To supervise daily accounting operations, supervising, controls, mentoring staff, ensuring teamwork and efficient and effective operation.
To verify daily bank balances through review of bank statements, prepare bank reconciliation and credit card reconciliation for Director of Finance approval.
To verify the accuracy of General Cashier report and that revenue are daily deposited into the bank by the General Cashier.
To perform month-end accounts reconciliation of all general ledger balances before issuing monthly financial statements. Report any gaps or variance to the Director of Finance.
To review monthly report like F&B report, Cost Controller’s report etc. as per hotel policy
To ensure all tax payment and filing are respected timely, and variances are resolved.
To prepare various monthly reports as required by Management.
To assist the Director of Finance in reviewing CAPEX, application of accounting policy, budgeting, financial analysis, and Ad hoc duties.
To ensure proper filing of accounting records, including contract, and easy retrievals.
To keep updated with new regulations and Accor policies.

Team Management

Interview, select, recruit direct report, and perform induction program.
Conduct performance review and manages performance issues that arise.
Develop and conduct staff training for team members focusing on their development.
Continuously monitor team workload and propose changes where necessary.

Other Responsibilities

Be aware of the hotel fire & life safety/emergency procedures.
Attend all briefings, meetings and trainings as assigned by management.
Always maintain a high standard of Ethics, Personal Appearance and Hygiene.
Participate in hotel initiatives on Environment and Community development.
Perform other reasonable duties assigned by the assigned by the Management.

Qualifications

Knowledge and Experience

Diploma in Accounting / Finance
Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar capacity
Good reading, writing and oral proficiency in English language
Proficient in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and relevant hotel Finance and non-finance systems
Proficient in Indonesian and International Accounting Standard, and Taxation
