We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Fitness Instructor to join our team at the Verdala Wellness Hotel - AX Privilege. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for fitness and wellness, along with the ability to inspire and motivate guests in their fitness journeys. As a Fitness Instructor, you will lead group classes, provide personal training sessions, and help guests achieve their health and fitness goals.
Responsibilities:
* Lead a variety of fitness classes, including aerobics, strength training, yoga, Pilates, and more, catering to different fitness levels and preferences.
* Design and implement safe and effective workout routines, incorporating a variety of exercises, equipment, and techniques to target specific fitness goals.
* Provide individualised instruction and feedback to participants, offering modifications and adjustments as needed to ensure proper form and technique.
* Motivate and inspire participants to push themselves and reach their fitness potential, fostering a supportive and encouraging atmosphere in classes.
* Maintain a clean and organised fitness studio, ensuring that equipment is properly set up, sanitised, and maintained for each class.
* Stay informed about industry trends, research findings, and new developments in fitness and wellness, integrating relevant knowledge into class programming.
* Assist in the development and promotion of wellness initiatives and special events, such as fitness challenges, workshops, and seminars.
* Build rapport and establish positive relationships with guests, providing personalised attention and guidance to help them achieve their fitness goals.
* Collaborate with other wellness and fitness team members to coordinate class schedules, share resources, and provide backup coverage as needed.
* Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
* Adhere to all safety and emergency procedures, including proper use of equipment, handling of emergencies, and compliance with hotel policies and regulations.
* Maintain accurate records of class attendance, participant feedback, and any incidents or accidents that occur during classes.
* Represent AX Hotels in a professional and positive manner, embodying the values of hospitality, wellness, and customer service.
Requirements:
* Experience in leading fitness classes or personal training sessions, preferably within a wellness or spa setting.
* Knowledge of basic exercise techniques and principles, with the ability to demonstrate proper form.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to engage and motivate guests in their fitness journeys.
* A positive and energetic attitude, with a genuine passion for promoting health and fitness.
* Ability to adapt workouts and class formats to accommodate various fitness levels.
* A minimum of 2 years' experience in the same position is required.
* Fluency in English; additional languages are considered an asset
