Chalet Couple

Are you a couple looking to work for a small, & personal Meribel ski company?
Do you have hands on professional experience in catering and hospitality?

You will be located in the outstanding ski resort of Meribel,3 Valleys, France the largest ski area in the world.

We are a small independently run ski business who place great value on our staff and customers.
We realize that our staff are fundamental to the service we provide and that if you are happy there is a good chance our clients will be too.

We employ couples to run each of our 5 chalets.
*You need to be applying with your partner, we don't have any positions for single applicants working with a friend.

One of you would be the Chalet Chef, with a proven track record of work experience in a professional kitchen and therefore able to cook confidently to a high standard.
The other role would be the Chalet Host taking on the 'Front of House' position and chalet management. Therefore work experience in hospitality is essential.

As a couple (Chalet Chef & Chalet host) you will run and manage your individual chalet and it is equally as important you have a love of looking after people.

The role involves preparing and serving a varied cooked breakfast and making afternoon tea. A love of entertaining, passion for food and ability to cook is essential; in the evenings you will be preparing a delicious 3 course meal. You need to have the catering skill set to cook for a variety of dietary requests, vegetarain, vegan, gluten free, lactose intolerant.

You will also be responsible for the cleanliness and management of your chalet. We will not burden you with admin or paperwork.

It is more important that you can confidently & professionally run the chalet, produce great quality food and have a warm & friendly and flexible approach to our customers.

Requirements

• Ideally you hold an Irish or European Passport, or you are British with dual nationality holding an EU Passport too or you have a Carte de Sejour giving you the 'right' to work in France.
  
• We also accept applications from UK passport holders, whereby we will apply for a work permit/visa providing you have the skills we are looking for.
  
• We welcome New Zealand, Australian, Canadian passport holders who have obtained a French holiday working visa.
• A love of food and previous experience in catering and hospitality industry is essential.
• Ability to work under your own initiative.
• High standard of personal presentation and cleanliness.
• Warm and outgoing personality
• Active and in excellent health.

Please note that we only employ couples, whereby you run the chalet with your partner.
