Your Purpose

The Storekeeper receives and stores all goods and assists the Provision Master in supervising and monitoring stock inventory and provisions.

Your Impact

* Secures and supervises all supplies.
* Maintains par levels of all items and ensures no supplies are exhausted or left at zero level.
* Performs ordering of expiring items with safe time to ensure replenishment.
* Correctly apply the food safety procedures and food quality requirements related to all processes
* Plans and organizes the loading team.
* Checks on the integrity of the loaded materials, ensures that the typology of all items delivered and landed match exactly to the product technical data sheet and the quantities.
* Generates and provides to the management completed and detailed stock inventory.
* Follows and understands the company's and the Marine reserve environmental policies, rules and regulations.

Your Journey So Far

* Previous relevant experience in a similar role (at least 2-3 years).
* Familiarity with standard concepts and best practices in a stockroom or warehouse environment.
* Basic knowledge on food safety
* Able to lift and move up weights.
* Able to check, organize, count stock and prepare inventories.
* Passionate about hospitality and customer service driven.
* Ability to work in hot environment.
* Sound knowledge of computer-based inventory systems. Knowledge of Microsoft programs to include but not limited to, Outlook, Word, Excel.
* Fluent in written and spoken English.

Your Essentials

* Passport, visas, certificates as specified by the company and as required for exit from the port of origin and entry into the destination cruising area.
* Food Safety/HACCP certificate required.

MSC Cruises has grown exponentially since 2003. In such a short time, we have built a fleet of 22 modern and most environmentally advanced ships!

With our constant expansion, our fleet will grow in capacity with the arrival of seven new ships in three different classes by 2027.
One of our latest ships – MSC World Europa – was delivered in 2022, inaugurating the World Class. It is our largest cruise ship to date, with a capacity of over 6,700 passengers, served by more than 2,000 crew members.

In 2023 we inaugurated the MSC Euribia equipped with the best and latest environmental technology and bestowed with a highly-innovative design.

In 2023 MSC Cruises entered the Luxury segment by launching its first of four Explora Journeys ships.

Recruitment Prospects
With three new mega-ships and four Luxury ships to be built and delivered between 2023 and 2027, the biggest and most important challenge for MSC Cruises is to find, recruit and train a high number of new crew members needed to provide the service, fun and safety that have become hallmarks of MSC Cruises.

This massive project is already well under way. The Human Resources Team is not only working to recruit the best talents but is also visiting our manning agencies and hiring partners around the world to ensure that the right people and facilities are in place to prepare this ‘army’ of new crew members for their life at sea.
