MSC Cruises is seeking an experienced strategic sourcing professional to join our Global Procurement team based in Geneva, Switzerland.
Your Impact
You will work under the supervision of the Head of function and in cooperation with the Procurement Team and Business Partners and be part of the following project streams:
Align WW digital transformation vision across all stakeholders:
* Define a comprehensive global digital transformation strategy in line with the local leaders' vision and priorities Source to Procure Project WW.
* Coordinate change management initiatives to ensure a smooth transition to digital processes and tools for our internal and external stakeholders.
* Be a champion of change and value creating across both MSC brands and influence the procurement leaders across the global organisation.
* Support strategic S2P procurement transformation initiatives within the organisation.
* Define a comprehensive global digital transformation strategy in line with the local leaders' vision and priorities.
* Coordinate change management initiatives to ensure a smooth transition to digital processes and tools for our internal and external stakeholders.
* Influence and collaborate with development teams, business partners, product owners, and maybe outside vendors to create a roadmap for achieving goals while maintaining an inclusive workplace culture.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant procurement regulations and standards.
* Work closely with the program management teams globally to deploy a variety of process, people and technology projects.
* Collaborate with internal and external technology stakeholders to ensure procurement strategies align with business objectives.
Your Journey so far
* University degree in business, supply chain, engineering, or computer sciences.
* 5+ years of strong experience with a minimum of 3 years experience in a significant procurement excellence role and /or Procurement Project management Transformation role.
Your Essentials
* Demonstrated analytical skills, data-driven decision-making, and the ability to adjust plans based on insights amid ambiguity, complexity, and uncertainty.
* Strong organisational skills, able to work autonomously, prioritise, and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Calm and resilient with a self-driving attitude.
* Must have worked on a transformation project with the implementation of Ariba or Jagger suites.
* Excellent communication, collaboration and influencing skills, comfortable with stakeholder management in a matrix organisation.
* Perfect command of English (spoken and written). Fluency in other languages, with Italian and French being preferential ones, would be advantageous.
* Project management skills, and especially for what concerns technology project execution.
* Continuous improvement mindset, and the ability to impact Supply Chain processes.
* Strong communication, interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
* Must have worked on a transformation project with the implementation of Ariba or Jagger suites.
* Can be effective in a constantly developing matrixed organisation with both complex and evolving technology and products.
* EU Passport or right to work in Switzerland.

MSC Cruises has grown exponentially since 2003. In such a short time, we have built a fleet of 22 modern and most environmentally advanced ships!
With our constant expansion, our fleet will grow in capacity with the arrival of seven new ships in three different classes by 2027.
One of our latest ships – MSC World Europa – was delivered in 2022, inaugurating the World Class. It is our largest cruise ship to date, with a capacity of over 6,700 passengers, served by more than 2,000 crew members.
In 2023 we inaugurated the MSC Euribia equipped with the best and latest environmental technology and bestowed with a highly-innovative design.
In 2023 MSC Cruises entered the Luxury segment by launching its first of four Explora Journeys ships.
Recruitment Prospects
With three new mega-ships and four Luxury ships to be built and delivered between 2023 and 2027, the biggest and most important challenge for MSC Cruises is to find, recruit and train a high number of new crew members needed to provide the service, fun and safety that have become hallmarks of MSC Cruises.
This massive project is already well under way. The Human Resources Team is not only working to recruit the best talents but is also visiting our manning agencies and hiring partners around the world to ensure that the right people and facilities are in place to prepare this ‘army’ of new crew members for their life at sea.
