Your Purpose
The Groups Operator is responsible for managing all aspects of group travel arrangements, from handling initial inquiries to coordinating end-to-end itineraries. This includes designing customized group programs, liaising with suppliers and internal departments, ensuring accurate bookings, and providing high-quality support throughout the planning and travel phases. The role plays a key part in delivering seamless experiences for our partner organizations and maintaining strong client relationships.
Your Impact
· Handle and operate full charters with the travel agency and customer/company, organizing all details related to the event from reservation to activities onboard and equipment embarkation with the headquarters and ship.
· Coordinates group organization of events onboard with headquarters to ensure smooth execution of the proposed events by the ship's team
· Works closely with the Revenue and Sales department to ensure alignment with strategic goals.
· Oversees the distribution of travel documents, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
Your Impact
· Handle group requests in our reservation system and handle both written and telephonic inquiries related to groups, additional services such as beverages package, transfers, shore excursions, and corporate events.
· Handle the organization with the travel agency/ B2C guest of weeding ceremonies and debutant celebration, organizing the necessary information and documentation related to these events.
· Coordinate with the travel agency/customer the embarkation of equipment and materials to the events, working together with the headquarters to approve the requests.
Your Impact
· Distribution of events and groups information with the vessels and abroad offices.
· Drives sales initiatives and provides guidance to sales partners via phone to support business growth.
· Manages allotments, including adjusting, reducing, or extending options as necessary.
· Prepare and issues invoices in accordance with agreed terms and conditions.
Your Journey so far
· Advanced proficiency in spoken and written English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
· Degree in Tourism or a related field.
· Proven experience in the Groups and/or Events department of a tourism company.
· Strong knowledge of tourism reservation systems.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.

· Flexible availability, including willingness to work weekends and possible travels to follow groups and charters onboard.

MSC Cruises has grown exponentially since 2003. In such a short time, we have built a fleet of 22 modern and most environmentally advanced ships!
With our constant expansion, our fleet will grow in capacity with the arrival of seven new ships in three different classes by 2027.
One of our latest ships – MSC World Europa – was delivered in 2022, inaugurating the World Class. It is our largest cruise ship to date, with a capacity of over 6,700 passengers, served by more than 2,000 crew members.
In 2023 we inaugurated the MSC Euribia equipped with the best and latest environmental technology and bestowed with a highly-innovative design.
In 2023 MSC Cruises entered the Luxury segment by launching its first of four Explora Journeys ships.
Recruitment Prospects
With three new mega-ships and four Luxury ships to be built and delivered between 2023 and 2027, the biggest and most important challenge for MSC Cruises is to find, recruit and train a high number of new crew members needed to provide the service, fun and safety that have become hallmarks of MSC Cruises.
This massive project is already well under way. The Human Resources Team is not only working to recruit the best talents but is also visiting our manning agencies and hiring partners around the world to ensure that the right people and facilities are in place to prepare this ‘army’ of new crew members for their life at sea.
