Mandarin Oriental, Prague is housed within a former 14th century monastery, and it is both a five-star luxury hotel and a wonderfully preserved piece of history. Blending contemporary design with period features, we offer a truly unique hotel experience.

The main focus of your job will be:

  • Close collaboration with Executive Chef in creating and implementing menus with a focus on modern Czech cuisine
  • Supervising kitchen operations, ensuring high quality in food preparation and presentation
  • Managing and training kitchen staff, creating a positive and productive work environment
  • Managing inventory, ordering ingredients and ensuring organization and order in the kitchen
  • Maintaining health, safety and hygiene standards
  • Working with the F&B team to ensure smooth service and guest satisfaction


 

What we expect from you:

  • Demonstrable experience of at least 5 years as a Sous Chef or in a similar role, preferably in a luxury hotel or fine dining restaurant environment
  • Knowledge of Czech and English at a communicative level
  • Knowledge and interest in Czech cuisine, willingness to learn and deepen your knowledge and skills in the field of gastronomy
  • Ability to lead a team of colleagues and motivate them to achieve set goals
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks with attention to detail
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Culinary education or relevant certifications are an asset
  • Time flexibility
