Hello!
We are looking for a capable Operations Manager for a full time, year round role in Morzine. It's a fantastic opportunity for someone that already lives in the area or even someone that would like to make a life for themselves permanently in France.
As the Resort Manager at Jack & Jill you will need to be an enthusiastic multitasker as you will have overall responsibility of managing the team and chalets.
The Winter season months are more focused on team management (December - April). Providing continuous support and training throughout the season, you will ensure that the quality and standards of the housekeeping, catering and Jack & Jill service are maintained. The remainder of the year is used to ensure the chalets are cleaned, maintained fantastically, the guests are enjoying their holidays, purchasing of materials and prepping for the winter.
We are looking for someone that is highly motivated, committed and enthusiastic about their work. Complete flexibility is necessary for this role, duties are numerous but these are some of the key roles within the job...
- Effectively manage and oversee the resort team to ensure they are working together delivering an excellent service
- Lead confidently and keep cool under immense pressure whilst maintaining a consistently positive outlook
- Previous experience in man-management is essential together with a proven record in organisational skills
- Being on-call & a first point of contact for the Jack & Jill team
- Visiting all chalets on a regular basis to ensure all guests are content
- Ensuring all accommodation under management is safe and complies with all relevant health and safety standards
- Supervising and coordinating all resort staff. Looking after the welfare, motivation and discipline of all the team members.
- Assist in the training of the team, including further training where needed in any of the hosting aspects; from cooking and housekeeping to building strong relationships with guests.
- General customer welfare and follow-up, liaising with guests, responding to feedback and queries.
- Being a support, diplomat and confident to team members and guests
- Maintain a good sense of humour!
This is a demanding position that requires a lot of energy and attention to detail. You must demonstrate a positive and proactive approach. We're looking for someone that is committed and works well under stress, as part of a team. The role is demanding but extremely rewarding. You must be confident, flexible, presentable and calm at all times.
We know that a happy team means happy guests so we make sure all our team are well looked after, stay positive and enthusiastic and get lots of time on the mountain.
