Job Description

As a Spa Experience Coordinator at Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge, you will be an ambassador for exceptional service at our Fairmont Spa. Your personal attention to detail and knowledge of the many products and services offered will help to ensure our guests receive an exceptional experience.

What you will be doing:

  Reporting to the Director of Wellbeing, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following: 

  • Consistently offer professional, friendly, and engaging service
  • Follow all Spa policies, procedures and service standards
  • Answer telephone inquiries promptly and professionally and provide immediate and courteous telephone response when booking and scheduling Spa treatments
  • Be knowledgeable about all aspects of Spa treatments and the facility to ensure guests are provided with accurate information and inquiries are responded to in complete detail
  • Be knowledgeable in Spa Therapy
  • 10% Retail commission and product incentives
  • 1% Service Charge of every treatment
  • Ensure that attention to detail is accurately maintained with each guest reservation and all guest requirements or issues are clearly stated to ensure effective pass on
  • Work with related hotel departments to ensure efficiency in meeting guest needs
  • Meet and/or exceed booking quotas and promotions in the Spa
  • Ability to promote Hotel services and amenities to encourage an exceptional resort experience
  • Work in a non-supervised environment and take ownership for independent decisions made in the best interest of the guest experience
  • Develop and maintain strong Product Knowledge of all Spa products, in order to better assist guests in treatment selection and promote product retail sales
  • Handle special assignments
  • Following all safety and sanitation policies
  • Responsible for the upkeep of SPA Lounge, SPA Locker Rooms by replenishing the items available to guests utilizing the lounge and the locker rooms
  • Responsible for stocking and cleaning retail shelves, locker rooms and the SPA Lounge
  • Manage all spa front & back of the house duties
  • Other duties as assigned


Qualifications

Your experience and skills include:

  • Minimum 1 year experience in position with face to face customer service (e.g. front desk, receptionist) required
  • Computer literacy in Word, Excel, Keyboard/data entry is an asset
  • Post-Secondary education in Hotel/Hospitality Management or equivalent work experience in a Spa or Hotel setting an asset
  • First Aid and CPR - Basic Rescuer certification required
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
  • Highly responsible & reliable
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team with minimum supervision
  • Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times

  • Close proximity to Marmot Basin Ski Resort in winter and world-renowned hiking trails in summer

  • Sitting: 0-1 hrs/day
  • Walking: 7-8 hrs/day
  • Standing: 7-8 hrs/day
  • Bending/Reaching: 4-5 hrs/day
  • Pushing/Pulling: 4-5 hrs/day
  • Physical effort: high, required to lift up to 50lbs


Additional Information

Visa Requirements : Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.
