We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Wellness Manager to join our team at the Verdala Wellness Hotel - AX Privilege. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in wellness and health, along with the ability to create and implement programmes that enhance the well-being of our guests. As the Wellness Manager, you will be responsible for developing and overseeing wellness initiatives, including spa services, and holistic programmes. You will also work closely with the team to ensure that all offerings align with our commitment to health and wellness, fostering a supportive and rejuvenating environment for all.
Responsibilities:
* Design and implement a range of wellness activities and services, including fitness classes, relaxation sessions, and holistic treatments, ensuring they meet high standards of quality and effectiveness.
* Ensure that all wellness facilities, such as fitness centres and spa areas, are clean, well-organised, and equipped with necessary resources. Conduct regular inspections to uphold hygiene and safety standards.
* Collaborate with wellness practitioners, fitness instructors, and other team members to deliver a cohesive and high-quality wellness experience. Provide guidance and support to staff as needed.
* Oversee the inventory and management of wellness resources, including equipment, products, and supplies. Ensure that all resources are in good condition and readily available for use.
* Engage with guests to understand their wellness needs and preferences. Provide recommendations on wellness options and address any special requests or concerns to enhance their experience.
* Track and evaluate the success of wellness programmes through guest feedback and performance metrics. Suggest improvements and adjustments to enhance programme quality and guest satisfaction.
* Ensure adherence to all health, safety, and wellness regulations. Monitor and enforce protocols related to the use of wellness facilities and services.
* Work with various departments to integrate wellness initiatives into the overall guest experience. Coordinate efforts to ensure that wellness services complement other aspects of the guest experience.
* Handle administrative duties related to wellness programmes, including scheduling, budgeting, and reporting. Maintain accurate records and ensure smooth operation of all wellness activities
* Contribute ideas for new wellness programmes, workshops, and events that align with current wellness trends and guest preferences.
* Conduct initial wellness assessments and follow-up evaluations to personalise services and track client progress.
* Monitor and maintain inventory levels of wellness supplies and equipment, coordinating replenishments to ensure smooth operation.
* Build strong, ongoing relationships with clients by providing personalised recommendations and encouraging repeat visits.
* Track and analyse client participation and feedback, using insights to refine services and suggest improvements to wellness programmes.
* Take an active role in creating a tranquil and welcoming environment within wellness spaces, including setting up aromatherapy, calming music, and maintaining the space's cleanliness and order.
Requirements:
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with guests and staff effectively.
* Ability to develop and implement wellness programmes and initiatives.
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
* Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
* Strong teamwork skills and a positive attitude.
* Passion for promoting health and wellness within a hospitality environment.
* Experience in a similar role within a 5-star hotel environment and/or a Forbes Travel Guide-rated establishment is preferred.
* A minimum of 2 years' experience in the same position is required.
* Fluency in English; additional languages are considered an asset
