Your Purpose

Explora Journeys is a vibrant, cosmopolitan, European luxury brand, imagined in the heart of Swiss hospitality in Geneva. Leveraging our parent company MSC Group's hundreds of years of maritime expertise, our fleet of six luxury ships (four currently in the pipeline) are being built and designed in a totally different and unique way that will transform and redefine the cruise experience, creating a category of its own, appealing to the next generation of luxury travellers.

An exciting opportunity exists for a talented Air Global Professional to join our newly created luxury travel brand Explora Journeys and to to lead and optimize air travel services for our luxury cruise guests. This role requires strategic planning, operational excellence, and a strong customer focus to ensure seamless, high-end flight arrangements. You will manage a dynamic team, oversee key partnerships (GDS, airlines), collaborate with internal stakeholders (RM, sales, finance), and ensure compliance while aligning flight operations with our business goals. This role is based in the office out of our Headquarters in Geneva.

Your Impact

* Lead, mentor, and set KPIs for flight operations teams (automation, global support, reconciliation, USA).
* Provide training to ensure effective communication of air services.
* Develop cost-effective air service strategies, conduct studies for strategic decisions, and oversee budgets to align with business goals.
* Negotiate airline contracts, maintain vendor relationships, ensure compliance, and monitor performance.
* Optimize processes, drive operational improvements, and enhance productivity, security, and quality.
* Monitor airline trends, technology, and distribution models (GDS, NDC) to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
* Work with Commercial, IT, and Revenue Management teams to ensure smooth air service execution.
* Track key metrics, generate reports, and drive air service initiatives.
* Provide premium air options, resolve escalations, and enhance luxury travel experiences.
* Ensure regulatory compliance and implement crisis management strategies.

Your Journey so far

* Bachelor's in Business, Travel Management, Aviation, or related field; Master's preferred.
* 8-10 years in flight operations or travel services, including 5+ years in management. Cruise or luxury travel experience is a plus.

Your Essentials

* Strong team management skills, with experience leading global teams across time zones.
* Strong knowledge of air pricing, benchmarking and negotiation; air allotments and chartering is a plus.
* Excellent ability to collaborate and drive projects with internal and external stakeholders.
* Detail-oriented, proficient in Microsoft Office, Power BI, and relevant data tools.
* Strong knowledge of air travel regulations (IATA/ARC), procedures (BSP), GDS Amadeus, and booking/ticketing processes.
* Ability to investigate and resolve complex discrepancies.
* Skilled in multitasking, handling tight deadlines, and embracing new technologies.
