Job Summary: The Conference & Banqueting Supervisor at Kimpton BEM Budapest plays a crucial role in the successful execution of events and meetings within our luxurious 120+ event space and three distinct meeting rooms. This role requires an individual with exceptional leadership abilities, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences in a high-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise the daily operations of the conference and banqueting department, ensuring all events run smoothly and meet our high standards of service.
• Lead, motivate, and manage a dedicated team to excel in the execution of events, from small meetings to large conferences.
• Collaborate with the sales and culinary teams to ensure seamless coordination and exceptional service delivery.
• Oversee the setup of events, ensuring all details, from layout to technology needs, are perfectly executed according to client specifications.
• Conduct pre-event meetings with clients and staff to review all details and expectations.
• Manage inventory and control of supplies, equipment, and uniforms needed for front- and back-of-house operations.
• Handle client queries and resolve any issues swiftly to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
• Prepare and manage the roster, ensuring adequate staffing for all events.
• Monitor the performance of the team, providing feedback, and conducting performance appraisals.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting, maintaining records for each event, including financial details.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Conference & Banqueting Supervisor or similar supervisory role in a high-volume hospitality environment.
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage large teams.
• Excellent organizational, planning, and communication skills.
• A detail-oriented approach with the capability to multitask effectively.
• Strong customer service orientation and the ability to handle pressure with poise.
• Knowledge of various event management systems and basic computer applications.
• A degree in Hospitality Management or related field is preferable.
