We are currently seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to assist our Executive Chef in delivering exquisite dishes that delight the senses. Responsibilities:

* Assist the Executive Chef in supervising the functioning of the kitchen employees, facilities, and costs to ensure the maximum food and beverage departmental profit
* Provide ongoing assistance to the Executive Chef in controlling and analyzing the following areas and ensure optimum performance.
* Quality levels of production and presentation including the employee restaurant.
* Guest satisfaction.
* Payroll and food costs
* Cleanliness, sanitation and hygiene
* Assist the Executive Chef in the production, preparation and presentation of all food items to ensure highest quality at all times.
* Establish and maintain effective employee relations and interdepartmental working relationships.
* Assist, under the guidance of the Executive Head Chef, with any employee relation matters
* Assist in the preparation of menus and the pricing policy, in consultation with the Executive Chef
* Assist in liaising with the Purchasing Officer to determine the minimum food par stocks. Ensure the completion of the market list in accordance with quality and quantity standards.
* Inspect all food items received for quality.

Requirements:

* Culinary degree or equivalent certification from a recognized culinary institution; preference will be given to ITS graduates.
* Proven experience as a Sous Chef at a 4*/5* star hotel
* Experience in both a la carte and buffet operations.
* Excellent level of both written and spoken English language
* Strong culinary skills and a passion for creating innovative and flavorful dishes.
* Excellent leadership abilities, with the ability to motivate and inspire kitchen staff.
* Knowledge of kitchen operations, food safety protocols, and sanitation practices.
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment and maintain composure under stress.
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and work well with others.
* Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
