Your exciting baking and pastry career are well within reach! It’s time to turn your passion and creativity into your dream career at Cilantro Culinary Academy. At our Diploma in Patisserie level, the student specialises in patisserie. Practical learning accounts for 70% of the syllabus, while theoretical teaching accounts for 30%. In addition to mastering baking and pastry making skills, trainees will also receive practical training to learn how to operate and manage restaurants/cafes. The teaching content includes cost budgeting and management, menu design projects and planning, human resource planning and management and indispensable customer service.

The graduate with 12-months of a Diploma in Patisserie and 3-months of industrial internship aims to provide learners with knowledge, skill and comprehensive experience in preparing of how to produce, cook and finish biscuits, cakes, sponges, pastry, dough, hot dessert, cold dessert and simple chocolate using standardised recipes. The graduates able to illustrate classical and contemporary pastry and confectionery techniques in the planning, development, execution, and evaluation of products, menus, and creative presentations. This programme enables learners to equip Learners with the fundamental knowledge and skills which enable them to produce the product from scratch, without the usage of pre-mix or ready-made items. Besides, it is also to strengthen our Learners’ capability by exposing them to in-depth knowledge and practical skills which enable them to integrate their learnt principles into practice and develop their readiness for employment and further professional development. Passion for Patisserie at least 18 years old for International students and English Language proficiency of IELTS 4.5.

Begin your journey with study patisserie at Cilantro Culinary Academy, you will be equipped an internship skills and knowledge, a classic patisserie foundation and understanding, time management and group leadership, nutritional Science, communication, how to handle stress in the kitchen and etc. Besides, we also assist student to get a better position in future and assist in job placement after completion of Diploma or Advanced Diploma. Apart from that, students have the option to pursue their study at overseas either in Institute of Culinary Excellence (ICE) in Australia or International Management Institute (IMI) Switzerland after graduated from Cilantro Culinary Academy. Recognizing the importance of knowledge and skills in a chef, we offer our students a global approach of 5 qualifications in one programme.
