Job Summary

  • Administrates standards, application strategy and health for all revenue management applications and tools. Product Owner for select revenue management systems.
  • Serves as the lead and interim Revenue Director for all new hotel openings and conversions during pre-opening phase through year 1 of operation in a given region.
  • Directs and supports hotels in a given region with the execution of revenue/yield strategies through maximizing systems and tools encompassing all facets of pricing, demand analysis, revenue management, market segmentation, selling strategies and tactics in accordance with worldwide best practices.
  • Proactively trains and develops revenue management professionals in the field to fully utilize the available tools and systems to maximize revenues and improve customer service.
  • Coordinates and delivers consistency through the onboarding, promotion and transfer of talent in the organization.
  • Communicates & partners with key internal and external stakeholders in the Asia Pacific region in regard to revenue management performance.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provides direction to the Revenue Management team with regards to the execution of strategies and adoption of tools and technology in revenue management.
  • Establishes service level agreements for all Hotels, performs regular review meetings with Hotels and all team members and takes corrective action where necessary.
  • Establishes yearly targets in terms of mastery and talent development and pro-actively works towards meeting and surpassing them.
  • Continuously evaluates and refines established Revenue Management support processes, taking into consideration Hotels needs, the market and competitive environment as well as cost of services provided.
  • Identifies training needs required to improve revenue generation skills of the team and pro-actively works with Talent Development, Sales and Marketing and Revenue training to overcome them.
  • Is responsible for continuous and pro-active career development for Revenue Management team, focused on growing business acumen, system utilization, skills building and executive communication skills.
  • Owns the pre-opening process for Revenue Management and Revenue System processes for all new or conversion Hotels in the area.
  • Ensures Revenue Management Strategies and Initiatives are synchronized and communicated throughout the area (Regional team, Hotels, etc.), regional and global best practices (internal and external) are collected and shared in the area with activities tailored to specific hotels, countries.
  • Identifies and communicates system enhancement requirements to hotels in a given region.
  • Develops and facilitates cross discipline support for initiatives overlapping division between revenue management, reservations and distribution and hotel/resort operations.
  • Participates in the development and implementation of Global Revenue Management, Pricing and Distribution initiatives and provides constructive feedback on continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Is always a "Brand Ambassador" and ensures brand integrity and clarity are always maintained.
  • Models the Company's culture, vision, mission and core values always.

Qualifications

  • College/Bachelor's Degree or a relevant field of work, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience


Experience

  • 8+ years progressive work-related experience in the hotel industry is required.
  • 6+ years extensive sales/revenue management experience in the similar position in the hotel is required.
  • Area Revenue Manager or Director of Revenue Management position at complex hotel or equivalent position
  • Sales and Marketing experience desirable.
  • Strong operational exposure (i.e. Front Office).
  • Experience in leading teams across multiple entities and brands.
  • Experience with multi-brand entity preferred.
